Anti-Bullying Campaign Launch 2019
Last September 16, 2019, the Student Development and Wellness Center in Collaboration with the Campus Ministry Office and Student Formation and Services launched the Anti-Bullying Campaign for School Year 2019-2020. The theme Accepting and Believing in Companionship is connected with the Association of Benedictine Schools theme “Embracing Differences: Uniting Benedictine Youth in Christ”
This Anti-Bullying Campaign envisions a proactive system and encouragement to our Scholasticans to stand up against bullying.
The morning praise that was led by Grade 8 – St. Elizabeth focused on the Bible verse from Mark 12:23, “Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these”
A wonderful opening message from Sister Daniela Romero, OSB also focused on loving our neighbor and good zeal. An Anti-Bullying advocacy video was also presented where the Scholasticans students, employees and staff showed their warm support in standing up against bullying.
The last part of the launch was the students’ pledge in standing against bullying.
Storytelling was facilitated and provided to Pre-Kinder to Grade 3 by the Student Development and Wellness Center and Learning Resource Center. Grades 4-12 was provided with a seminar on Anti-Bullying awareness facilitated by Dr. Shake G. Hocson and PediaPharma Foundation.
As a Benedictine school, the Student Development and Wellness Center aims to create a safe space where all differences are valued and respected where everyone can celebrate each other’s uniqueness centered in Christ.
